Splinter Cell: Blacklist has gone gold way ahead of its planned release date and Ubisoft couldn't be happier.
The latest Splinter Cell game from developer Ubisoft is still a little under two weeks away from being officially released but that hasn’t stopped it from going gold well ahead of schedule.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist senior producer Alex Parizeau broke the good news to IGN last night:
“We couldn’t be more proud of our team. This is a huge accomplishment for Ubisoft Toronto and for the studios that collaborated with us on this ambitious project – Ubisoft Montreal, Ubisoft Shanghai, Ubisoft Bucharest and Ubisoft Pune. Splinter Cell Blacklist is the first project to go gold in our studio, and I can tell you the atmosphere here is electric.”
Now that Blacklist has gone gold, Parizeau says that he and his team are more excited than ever to release the game and see how fans like it:
“We brought together an amazing team from across the industry who went all in to deliver the biggest game in the series. I know I speak on behalf of the entire team when I say we can’t wait to get the game into the hands of our fans.”
Splinter Cell: Blacklist, the latest outing of super spy Sam Fischer and company, is set to release on August 20, 2013 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii U.
