Rayman, Sonic, and the Professor Layton/Phoenix Wright cross over highlight the future for the big N.

Pokemon will make its Wii U debut in Pokemon Rumble U, an eShop exclusive. The game will have 70 stages and have a 4 player co-op mode. There will also be NFC toys available for the game to store play data in. You don’t need the NFC toys to play Rumble U, it just adds to the game. You can bring your Pikachu over to a friend’s house and play with your Pokemon over there. There will be 18 different toys to start out with, exclusive to Game Stop.

The 3DS wasn’t left out of all the fun but by the look of this game, fun might not be mentioned as this is one of the toughest games around. Summer Carnival 92 Recca is not only one of the toughest games around; it is one of the rarest games around as well. The game will be coming to the 3DS eShop soon so start practicing. Also coming to the 3DS eShop Virtual Console soon is the original Donkey Kong, Tecmo Bowl, Warioland 3 and Super Mario Brothers 3, with Mario 3 coming to both 3DS and Wii U V.C.

Professor Layton was mentioned in this Nintendo Direct and it felt like he was the odd man out until now. He will be in two games for the 3DS soon and one is the game fans have been asking about for a long time. Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy will be coming out in 2014 and the Professor Layton Vs Phoenix Wright cross-over that everyone has wanted will also be coming out in 2014.

The Legend of Zelda franchise is one of the best gaming has to offer and two games will be added to the series soon. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for the 3DS takes place in the same world as A Link To The Past but that’s where the connection ends. The game play and the dungeons are different. The game takes place years after Ganon was defeated and Link (or Steve, for me) must travel between the two worlds the game takes place in but for what purpose? You’ll have to find out in November.
