Xbox Arcade title Castlestorm heads to the PC Steam Store
Raise the drawbridge and load up your ballistae, Xbox Arcade hit game Castlestorm is storming its way on to the PC platform Steam July 29. A combination of tower defense and Angry Birds-esque catapult combat, Castlestorm thrusts the player into a hilarious and witty medieval time period that pits Sir Gareth and his knights against the Viking threat who intend to disturb the peace they once thought unbreakable.
Castlestorm has much to offer in its intense and large scale battles as you seek to destroy the enemy castle by any means possible. Weapons range from morning-stars that take out heavy fortifications to firing a gassy sheep missile that encapsulates the games sense of humour. You will also be sending units like cavalry and golems to capture the enemy flag and take down their fortress, cast powerful magic spells and take control of your hero on the battlefield when things get too hot culminating in a fast-paced and intense experience.
Local and online co-op/multiplayer support helps to further the action as you and a friend can go head-to-head or even work together as one controls a hero and the other the castle to take down your enemy’s castle. A custom castle editor gives the player complete creative control over which troops they want in battle and how strong it will be to take down against an opponent.
