Most things get better with age and the Madden franchise is no exception.
While on the running game/offense, there is a new game play mechanic called “Run Free.” Run Free lets you perform different run combinations to get that extra yardage. A perfect combo might be just what the doctor ordered to reach the end zone. In the newer Madden games, I find the kicking controls tough but that changed with Madden 25 because they have classic controls where you just pull the right control stick back and kicking is a breeze.
Madden is always about bringing the most realistic Football game to the fans. Total Control Passing allows you to have more control over your passes by using the left control stick. Combine that with the Free Run aspect and Madden has added to the realistic factor. Owner Mode allows players to run their favorite team the way they want to. You can trade whoever you want, you can make hot dogs 20 bucks.( which is almost accurate in some buildings) In theory, as a Jet fan, I could destroy the Patriot dynasty and start my own Jet regime.
In Madden Share mode, you can borrow plays and players from different teams and have them on your team. Looks like Madden Share is for Online mode/Connected Franchise Mode. If you’re playing against the Rams and they have a play you like, you can use it here. If you want Tony Romo to be your QB, then you can have him be the QB of your team. These features should add to online play and whoever is the better player should come out the winner. Some minor aesthetic features have Jim Nantz and Phil Simms doing the play by play and color commentary for the game this year, which is a nice touch. The demo is available August 13th and the full release is August 27th, just in time for the upcoming season. Go Jets!
