Bayonetta 2 (Wii U)
At a time when Nintendo truly needed a defining moment with the Wii U (sequels to Mario Kart, Super Mario 3D Land and Donkey Kong Country weren't exactly what we were looking for), Platinum Games stepped in with a very playable build of its forthcoming sequel – and it didn't let us down in the least. Sure, Bayonetta has an unnecessary haircut, but she still kicks butt like a good witch should, and the one-stage demo, taking place flying through a city while chaos ensues with a strange dragon, was unbeatable when it came to delivering action. This is one well worth getting a Wii U for, kids…even if you have to wait another year.
