New info revealed about Pokémon X and Y. Mr. Ishihara and Junichi Masuda provide answers to Media questions.
At the end of the night, the attending media was able to ask questions to the developers and the questions were pretty interesting. Downloadable content has been thought about for Pokémon but they haven’t really taken it too far in development. The Fairy type was created to make Dragon have another type compete and make the game more balanced. The region is based around France and specifically beauty, thus why France is the basis for the new region. The music in X and Y will have a different feel compared to the other games because the music will sound just like the developers intended it.
It was very interesting to hear what Junichi Masuda has to say about the status of Pokémon and that he doesn’t know what people will think regarding a few songs revealed for the first time to an audience. It was also interesting to his sense of humor come out in the presentation and that he is genuinely having a great time. Pokémon is still going strong and it doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon. As long as Squirtle is available, I will be one happy Pokémon trainer.
