Barry Bostwick disccuses his role in Finding Joy.
With the role of Alan, were you able to bring any of the experience you have as a father to that role.
Yeah. I have an 18 year old son and there is always a struggle to communicate. My son is a little more in your face and will tell you if something is wrong. I keep clear with my own family and I don’t let the resentment build into a wall.
I used my personal life as an example of how to do it and I used these characters as an example of how not to do it. These characters represent what happens if you don’t refresh yourself with your family and check in so those grievance tanks don’t get to full.
Barry Bostwick and Lainie Kazan in Finding Joy
We here at GamerHub TV are big fans of yours. From the Rocky Horror Picture Show to Spin City to my personal favorite Disney’s Phineas and Ferb…
(Laughs) Phineas and Ferb!
Barry Bostwick as Grandpa Clyde
Do you prefer television to movies?
I like doing these films like Finding Joy. It lets me try different things, hairstyles, and characters. In Finding Joy, I’m this orange tanned person that you couldn’t put on TV, unless on HBO, because you couldn’t explain that he has this tan because he was on an experimental drug for erectile dysfunction. (Laughs). These indy films allow you to take chances.
