Developer Namco Bandai has officially confirmed the March, 2014 release date for its upcoming sadistic sequel Dark Souls II.
Developer Namco Bandai has made it official: players can look forward to getting stabbed, crushed, incinerated, poisoned, vaporized, run over, and any other painful verb they can think of in March, 2014 when Dark Souls II is unleashed upon our world.
The confirmation came after a rather hard-to-hide leak in the form of a giant banner overlooking the Los Angeles Convention Center, home of this year’s E3 gaming convention. As you can see in the photo, the banner clearly displays a “March 2014” subtext under the massive “Dark Souls II” title. The photo was snapped by an eagle-eyed Los Angeles resident before quickly finding its ways to both the NeoGAF and Reddit message boards.
Rumors have already started circulating over whether or not Dark Souls II will be making its way onto next-gen systems (it has already been confirmed for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3) since the March, 2014 release date will be well past the holiday 2013 release date for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
