The newest Nintendo Direct shows that Nintendo knows what they're doing when it comes to this video game thing.
More info was revealed about Mario Golf: World Tour, pertaining to the online play. Players will be able to play against other players all over the world. I’m just glad that a golf game with World Tour in the title actually gets to be a world tour. The game is going to have the community function that Mario Kart 7 had and that makes online play easier and more fun.
Players won’t have to worry about playing someone out of their league when they are just starting out online. I have run into a few of those in Mario Sports Mix and it isn’t fun. This way you can come up with rules that everyone is ok with and you can play games just like that. The rules could range from traditional golf rules or as Mr. Iwata stated, everyone has to play as Luigi. However you decide to play, it should be really fun. I’m looking forward to playing in an online tourney at some point. The game is slated for a Summer release.
The Cash cow that is Mario Party is at it again, this time for the 3DS. Mario Party doesn’t get in on the fun of portable gaming too much but it looks like the 3DS version is going about the series the right way. There will be seven game boards and each one will play differently. Zoinks! One board sounds like player interaction will be important whereas another one will have you collect power-ups to jump ahead at the end the game. This version of Mario Party could have some of the most random, crazy finishes to games we haven’t seen since the original version, where the game played more like a board game and less like a video game. There will be 81 mini games to play and try to master and test your skills that range from AR card games to mind teasing puzzles. The game is set to be the hit of the party this Winter.
I don’t know about you but all this Luigi news has made me hungry. I have no idea what that means but just go with it. Here, have some more Luigi news to calm you down. New Super Luigi U, the DLC to NSMBU, might look like the same game but trust me, it isn’t. The map is indeed the same but all the levels are redesigned for Luigi to run through.
Luigi has different skills than Mario, like he can jump higher but he slides when he tries to stop running. You’ll have to master these skills if you want to beat NSLU and you’ll have less time to do it than NSMBU. Each level is 100 seconds and that alone will have you replaying each stage over and over again to get those star coins. The DLC is set to release this Summer.
