Finally, the Social Features video discusses new upgrades such as the improved user interface, the addition of Groups and Clans, and the Players Near You feature, which allows players in environments like college dorms, offices, or Internet game rooms to quickly find others who are connected to StarCraft II on the same network. Lastly, Global Play, which will be enabled soon for Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm, allows players to play in regions outside their home Battle.net region.
“We're excited about all these new features, the vast majority of which are available to Wings of Liberty players,” said Blizzard on its site. “If you haven’t paid a visit to the Koprulu sector in a while, now’s a great time to log back in to StarCraft II and try everything out in preparation for the impending launch of Heart of the Swarm.”
