The transmedia entertainment experience gets a jump on its April launch with a partially re-built set experience with livable containers.
In what is believed to be a world first, the Defiance Container Village will contain rooms where invited guests can stay overnight, avoiding the annual SXSW hotel room shortage. Guests will include among others, Defiance cast member Jesse Rath, as well as a Klout competition winner who has shown their social influence.
A fourth container room has been created for anyone who wants to relax, charge devices, use the internet and generally lounge in the futuristic environment.
A key feature of the Defiance Container Village will be the Need/Want Social Bar. A bar like no other, it features an imaginative app that allows visitors to express and share their personal needs and wants. The app then aggregates the collective results and posts them to the bar’s interactive wall and individual’s social feeds. Throughout the course of SXSW, Needs and Wants will be fulfilled for some lucky participants through Twitter.
People joining the conversation of 2046 and tweeting #DefianceSXSW can also win Defiance swag. Defiance goodies including survival kits, T-shirts and the opportunity to avoid SXSW VIP lines by hosting private happy hours within the Defiance Container Village are all up for grabs.
