Let's see what the folks at Vertex Pop have up their sleeves!

If you’re a fan of quick, fast paced, run and gun games, then have I got the perfect game for you, Super Crush KO. You play as the heroine trying to rescue her kidnapped kitten from robots and oh yeah, save the world too! The action comes at you fast but you do have time to think of the right attacks to use on the nasty robots. You’ll be able to combo attacks with special attacks that will send enemies flying as well! You will gain new attacks as you traverse through the colorful city landscape, jumping along the building tops.

Quick actions mesh well with combos and the controls are tight/smooth, something you need for quick-controlling games. The enemies never felt like they were going to over power me or gang up on me during the demo but there was one time where the mini boss did fake me out. It’s good to see that since the game is fun, challenging, but fair! You’ll be able to use ground attacks, air attacks and special attacks to get through each stage Enemies have a life gauge underneath their body so it’s easy to tell how much life they have left and your special meter is under your hearts/life meter. Use your special attacks wisely as it takes time to replenish that meter and that could be the difference between life and death. You’ll also have the ability to shoot enemies into the air and that could set up different combos so use your attacks wisely as well!

You can’t talk about Super Crush KO without talking about the way it looks and it looks gorgeous. The vibrant colors mesh so well with the fast-paced action and the fact that you’re beating the daylights out of robots so that’s a bonus right off the bat! It will have an online leaderboard for top scores and rankings so do your best saving your kitty so you can have the top spot among your friends when it comes out on Switch.

Vertex Pop should be excited with Super Crush KO as it looks really fun and it plays like a classic beat-em-up game of the SNES glory days! This is another one of my Games Of Pax East!
