You may have seen the Mobile Gaming Unit at a video game convention, now see how this awesome truck was designed.
Red 5 Studios has brought Firefall’s Mobile Gaming Unit (MGU) to Hollywood. The vehicle will debut on Velocity Network’s Inside West Coast Customs on March 3, at 9 p.m. EST. The West Coast Customs (WCC) crew will bring Red 5’s futuristic vision to life, transforming a 48-foot-long tour bus into a state-of-the-art tournament on wheels packed with high-end AMD and Razer gear.
The massive 48-foot-long MGU features a unique aesthetic design pulled straight out of Firefall’s sci-fi world. It’s equipped for top-level eSports tournaments with 20 AMD powered gaming stations, Razer peripherals, support for 1,000 person LANs and it even includes a shoutcaster podium with full livestreaming support. As an innovative gaming creation and one of WCC’s biggest challenges yet, the MGU premiere is a must-watch event for gamers, geeks and modding enthusiasts.
“As cool as the completed MGU is, it’s probably more impressive to see how we managed to cram so much advanced hardware into a bus and actually make it work,” said Mark Kern, CEO of Red 5 Studios. “It took an incredible effort to pull this thing off and wouldn’t have been possible without the talented people at WCC and our partners, AMD and Razer. Whether viewers have seen our MGU or not, they’re going to be blown away.”
