Early Monday afternoon, fans were already lined up in the hundreds in anticipation for the release of Kojima Productions/Platinum Games' newest title, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
The true highlight of the night, though, was most certainly the after party. The first 150 lucky fans in line were given access to the bash at the Hard Rock Cafe that evening to eat, drink, play the game, meet the devs behind it, and as a special treat, listen to music from the soundtrack, live, with the soundtrack's composer Jamie Christopherson performing.
For those over 21, game-themed drinks were available at the open bar, by the names of Raiden's Revenge, Sundowner, and Slice of Life. Hors d'oeuvres and sliders were passed around by a gaggle of smiling waitstaff, and at the night's prime hour, the producers presented a never-before seen trailer for the game, that is now the well-known TV spot.
The event was a complete success, highlighting each aspect of the game through visuals, music, cosplay, fun, and monumental memories. Stay tuned to GamerHub.TV's Youtube channel for footage from the event, and interviews with the game's musicians, devs, and most importantly, fans like you.
