Three of the actors who provided performance capture for developer Treyarch’s latest Call of Duty: Black Ops II blockbuster game are touring Europe with the USO to play the game with soldiers.
“Without the necessary training and career resources provided by services and funds such as the Call of Duty Endowment, our veterans run the risk of relying on the military to offer life-long career paths,” said McDonald. “This can be impossible for many veterans, and others would simply like a choice of career paths outside the military. Our returning veterans should be rewarded for their service with opportunity and possibility. They should not have to wander the halls of closed employment doors, and the Call of Duty Endowment is a wonderful key to helping our veterans open those doors.”
“Activision cares about our service men and women,” said Burns, who reprises his role as Sergeant Frank Woods. “There is no illusion that we are just an ‘entertainment’ product, when you stand that next to the real deal, we can only bow our heads and honor our veterans as well and as often as we can. I am proud to be associated with a company that makes itself available to help in any way it can.”
Activision just released the first DLC for Black Ops II, the Revolution map pack, on Xbox 360.
