San Diego Studios' Community Specialist Ramone Russell demos the Beginner Mode in MLB 13 The Show. The purpose of the Beginner mode in MLB 13 is to teach gamers pitch recognition and what to swing at and not to swing at. In the beginning the pitcher will throw fastballs down the middle to familiarize player with the timing & contact of the pitches. Once you're able to recognize these pitches the adaptive AI within the game will switch up the pitches based upon your skill level. Contact and Timing are very important elements in playing this game. Once these skills are mastered players will graduate from this mode into regular gameplay.
