It's hardly essential, but this add-on will keep fans happy.
As for the general nature of the missions, they can be a bit repetitive. You'll spend a good amount of time brushing elbows with the Dominatrix herself, as well as her cronies. They can be a bit repetitive, but with the number of superpowers and weapons at your disposal, you'll never run out of ways to truly dispatch of them.
In terms of production value, Volition doesn't go too far over the top with Enter the Dominatrix. There are some humorous visual moments, like goons chasing after you with purple sex toys – yes, those purple sex toys – but aside from the "behind-the-scenes" style set-up, there's nothing genuinely different here. You do get to unlock a few more weapons and "homies" to add to your party, but that's about it.
The arrival of Enter the Dominatrix is a welcome one, even if its perspective and general set-up – five general missions overall – leaves more to be desired. Thankfully, it's got enough laughs and chaos to keep fans happy, which was kind of the point. Now, let's see what the forthcoming How the Saints Saved Christmas has to offer…
