Find out why you should pass on this new edition of a great game in our review.

There is honestly not much to this Premium Edition of the game. While the game enjoyed critical success, gaining a aggregated Metacritic score of 82/100, it failed to gain popularity with gamers. For this reason, only one DLC expansion was released for the game. This expansion, titled Pigsy’s Perfect 10, allowed you to play as the titled character. As Pigsy, you were able to scale objects in the environment, use a grappling hook, and focus on stealth gameplay. While this mode is enjoyable, it may not appeal to those who are not a fan of the original game. The game also includes three new skins for the hero Monkey, but they can’t be used until the game is completed. While the story is good, it does not necessarily warrant a second play through.

Monkey is hanging on to the idea that a sequel will be made.

One saving grace of this Premium Edition is that the game is now available for the first time on Windows PC. This version of the game enjoys a few graphical enhancements that allow it to look better than the original. If you are a hardcore PC gamer who was interested in this game when it originally released, this is the time to pick it up.

Yes, this guy got his own DLC.

While Enslaved: Odyssey To The West is a great game; this Premium Edition does not feature enough new content to warrant a purchase unless you game on a PC. Due to the lack of popularity, there was only one DLC expansion released. If you want to play that expansion as well as enjoy three new costumes for Monkey, then this is the game for you. If not, please give this game a chance, but find a used copy at your local video game store.

Score: 5 / 10
