With an interesting story, a vivid and detailed world, and an amazing performance from Andy Serkis, Enslaved: Odyssey To The West may be one of the best games that no one has ever played. Now, Ninja Theory is giving those gamers a chance by re-releasing the game with additional content. While the journey of Enslaved is well worth taking, we are not going to focus on reviewing the game itself here. In this review we are focusing on the additional content, how the game holds up today, and if the Premium Edition is worth your purchase.

First off, Enslaved has withstood the test of time very well. While the game was released only three years ago, the market has changed and shifted tremendously, and this story still holds up well. Enslaved is loosely based on the novel “The Journey” by Wu Cheng’en. The game was adapted to video game form by Alex Garland who wrote the screenplay for 28 Days Later and most recently the story for DmC, the amazing Devil May Cry reboot.
