It's hardly for comic book fans, but those who love the show will happily indulge.
It's not really that uncommon to see crossovers of popular TV shows and movies, but very seldom do we see something like the Marvel universe cross paths with a light-hearted kids' TV show. Still, considering how popular Marvel programming is on the Disney Channel, it was only a matter of time before they showed up in the world of Phineas and Ferb.
Mission Marvel does a pretty good job with the crossover idea, though it's really better suited for fans of Phineas and Ferb, rather than the hardcore comic book readers. No matter, at least someone will enjoy it.
The story begins with Perry the Platypus once again putting a stop to the nefarious plans of the evil (yet dimwitted) Dr. Doofenshmirtz and his Power Draininator. However, it lets out one last gasp, bounces off a satellite (made by Phineas and Ferb from scratch, of course) and, by chance, takes away the powers of a quartet of Marvel's best heroes, including Iron Man, Spider-Man, Thor and The Incredible Hulk. Left powerless, they head to Phineas and Ferb's neighborhood to try and retrieve them. Meanwhile, Red Skull and his cronies – MODOK, Venom and Whiplash – plan to stop the heroes once and for all.
