It can't quite keep up with FIFA, but it's still a must for soccer fans.
Considering that it's "the other game" in the face of the mighty FIFA, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 doesn't feel like an also-ran. It's got enough greatness inputted into the gameplay and some nice tweaks to the visual presentation to make it worth the investment to soccer fans.
That said, Konami needs to push a little harder if it wants to remain relevant in this battle with FIFA. More features, more leagues, cleaner graphics, and maybe a little looser commentary. With the next-gen scene arriving shortly, there's no better time than now to get to work.
