The fans will love it, and casual viewers will get some laughs, too.
Shout Factory also did a pretty good number on the movie's presentation. The visuals are as sharp as they've ever been, though it's really hard to make MST3K shine in hi-def, considering the quality of the source material they massacre each week. The audio's good, hardly top-notch but serviceable enough you can make out comments, like "the secret government Eggo project". Yep, you'll be quoting lines like that in no time.
Though Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie isn't the best product to come out of the franchise – that honor still belongs to Manos – it's good, goofy fun for a week night. And it doesn't take that long to breeze through either, even with the trip to Metaluna.
Which, by the way, totally looks like Michael Stipe's head.
