Is this version better thant he console version? Find out in our review!

Combat in Pacific Rim: The Mobile Game is fun yet repetitive. The combat is similar to Infinity Blade. You have to focus on dodging attacks from the Kaiju and then attacking it once the opening is there. You can parry as well, but this is a little more difficult to pull off. The controls are very well laid out and simple to use. The frustrating part comes when attempting to block. If not pressed at the precise time, you will be attacked. Also, being locked into the over the shoulder position does not allow any mobility during combat. Still, the controls are better than the console version. Each Kaiju you face is stronger than the previous one. Once you figure out how to block, combat is a breeze. Completing battles unlock items on the Black Market as well as enhancements for your Jaeger.

Pacific Rim: The Mobile Game is a good game. The game captures the heart of the movie, which is a great battle between robots and monsters. While the controls are great, Pacific Rim: The Mobile Game seeks to involve you by having a storyline that makes you a rookie cadet. It would have been great to work with another player in tandem to control a Jaeger like in the movie. Being locked into one combat space and the blocking is frustrating. Still, the game provides moderate entertainment that allows you to punch a monster in the face. While reluctant, this game is worth your download.

Score: 7 / 10
