Almost every Nintendo fan is eagerly awaiting Animal Crossing: New Leaf’s release date of June 9th. It’s been 5 years since the last entry in the series, has it been worth the wait? Find out in our review!
Your time in Animal Crossing: New Leaf starts off just as the original did, you being awkwardly interviewed by a talkative cat on a train. After answering a few questions you arrive in town and are promptly greeted by its current inhabitants as they welcome you as their new mayor. Before you can adequately object you are whisked away to the Town Hall to take your first steps as mayor, which involve getting a house with the local realtor. Finally we are back into that familiar Animal Crossing rhythm.
Tom Nook appears again, now as a realtor to help you locate a site for you new house which promptly puts you in debt. Of course you’ll have to pay it off somehow. In 12 years your methods of making money to do so haven’t changed. You still spend countless hours collecting fruits, catching bugs and fish, as well as digging up fossils. Which you can either donate to the museum or sell for big money.
