Does Iron Man 3 break Shell Head's video game curse? Find out in our review!
The graphics of Iron Man 3 are good, but not great. While flying the environment stays the pretty much the same, with the occasional differentiation of an object or billboard. This is to be escaped in this new endless run genre, but it does get a little boring after a while. The appearance of the enemies gets better as the game progresses, and the bosses look good, but never great. It seems that attention was paid mostly to Iron Man’s Hall of Armor.
Editing and upgrading the armor is fun.
The interface used while in the games menu looks fantastic. It almost feels as if you are controlling Jarvis on your mobile device. This is fitting as this is where the game shines the most, the Hall of Armor. Throughout the game, you can unlock different suits of armor. Everything from the Mark 42 suit and the Iron Patriot armor to the Silver Centurion and the Mark 39 Starboost. Great attention to detail was focused on making the armors beautiful. Playing the game may become tedious at times, but the pay off of unlocking more and more suits of armor to use are a huge reward.
Guardians of the Galaxy reference anyone?
Iron Man 3 the game is not a huge step in the right direction for Marvel’s Iron Avenger. The controls seem a bit laggy and the endless flyer aspect of gameplay gets boring shortly after playing. The suits that can be unlocked are astonishing and are worth the tedious gameplay. Also, did I mention this game has freakin’ M.O.D.O.K?! That alone is worth the download.
