Though there's a low count of tracks and weird Avatar implementation, Microsoft's downloadable biker is well worth the ride. Especially with friends.
These tracks are fun to race on, and there's ample opportunity to get some air and execute tricks, thanks to a convenient system to show off with. However, there are only nine in all, so you'll run out of room a little sooner than you might expect.
Fortunately, the online Xbox Live features make up for some of the slack, as you can compete with players either directly or through ghosts in Rivals mode to see who's the champ. Race clubs are also available, in which you can either team up with friends or get slotted with those players in your skill level. They help add some replay value to the game, and who knows? You can probably make a few friends as well.
Though Motocross Madness doesn't innovate in gameplay like previous Rainbow-developed racers, it's still enjoyable. As I stated above, the trick system is enjoyable and fair, though there's a slight lack of momentum if you land awkwardly, so execute them as high up as you can. The turbo system is fair, giving you boost power for doing all the right things on the track (or finding a power-up here and there). Handling is about right on, and you can drift when necessary, though on muddy roads it's not quite recommended.
