Metal Slug X blasts its way to mobile platforms but is it worth the download? Find out in our review!

The gameplay in Metal Slug X is furious fun. Running and gunning in this pseudo platformer is awesome. There are enough machine guns, cannons, and grenades in this game to make any action fan happy. The touch screen controls are very responsive. There is a “touch” joystick and three buttons that control jumping, shooting, and throwing grenades. Players can even customize the control layout to fit their particular play style. The only negative in gameplay is the amount of enemies on screen at any given time. The amount of enemies can immediately evolve form manageable to frustrating. This is supposed to create a frantic assault of fury but instead you end up dying more times than you would want. Still, the gameplay is fun and addictive although a bit frustrating at times.

Cannons, machine guns, and tanks galore.

Metal Slug X is absolute fun. The combat is furious and outrageous. There is a violent and gory glory to be seen through the lenses of the 8-Bit graphics. The game is both hilarious and gruesome at the same time, which makes it a fresh addition to the other offerings in the app store. Metal Slug X is a must download.

Score: 9 / 10
