Spec Ops: The Line is a gorgeous game but is it worth playing? Find out in our review!
The story of this game begins when Captain Martin Walker is called in to Dubai with his Delta Squad to answer a distress signal from Colonel Konrad. Konrad and Martin have some history so he is determined to find Konrad and bring him back. The gameplay in Spec Ops: The Line is an afterthought to the story itself and it shows. This is a third person shooter with cover-based combat that makes great use of the environment. You can also command your team to focus on a specific target, allowing you the freedom to approach combat in a variety of ways. The game is packed with dramatic set pieces that can be destroyed and used against your enemies.
Sand is more than a setting in this game.. Shooting out a window and releasing thousands of pounds of sand down upon your enemies is a great feeling. There is also a wide array of weapons, rifles, and modifications that you can use throughout the game. Also, as Captain Martin begins to loose his sanity, the different ways that he commands his squad and execute his enemies become more brutal and sadistic. The combat is where the game lacks as it varies from easy to very easy. Even when you ramp up the difficulty, the game isn’t difficult. This game is about the story and experience first and it is worth it.

Gameplay is straight forward but fun.
In the world of shooters, Spec Ops: The Line is truly a one of a kind experience. From setting to story, Spec Ops: The Line is amazing. The game is a visual delight and the sand storms add visual beauty to the presentation. While the combat is easy, the story and visuals will keep you wanting more. While the dialogue is the classic cliché badass bromance you would expect form a military shooter, Spec Ops: The Line gives presents a unexpected enjoyable experience that no gamer should miss.
