Red Bull Crashed Ice reminds you of a time when extreme was spelled with a x, but is it worth the download? Find out in our review!

Gameplay in Red Bull Crashed Ice is not original, but it is fun. The game plays just like a level from Kinect Adventures. You start at the top of a hill, use your arms to get you into motion and pick up speed, and use your entire body to pull off tricks and gain stars to help increase your speed. The true challenge is going up against other players. You can nudge, bump, and knock your opponents to the ground and force them to eat snow as you cross the finish line. While the gameplay is fun, it can be frustrating. It takes a lot of arm movement to gain and maintain speed and at times the game does nto respond correctly to your motion. Also the  difficulty of the game is so low that once you are in front, you will more than likely win the race.

Don't Let Anything Stand In Your Way

Red Bull Crashed Ice is a fun game that would have been better suited in the Kinect launch window. While the gameplay is fun, there is nothing here that has not been done before. There are also not enough varied levels or challenges to warrant a replay for this title. Everything in the game has been done before, and better in Kinect Adventures. Unless you are a huge Red Bull fan, it is difficult to recommend this game at all. If you want a fun Kinect game with varying challenges, I recommend Kinect Adventures or Kinect Sports Season Two.

Score: 5 / 10
