Begin your search for the dragonballs once again by reading our review.

The gameplay in Dragonball Z Budokai HD Collection has not changed. The combat is still fast, action packed, and a perfect representation of the Dragonball Z television series. The controls are still simplified compared to current generation fighters and yet it is still one of the most difficult fighters I have ever played. Even with the game set to very easy, the game still provides a true challenge. The story in Dragon Ball Z Budoki is great and it is a true thrill to play through the events from the television show. Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3’s story mode however is slim and not worth the time. The flying mechanic within the story mode that allows you to travel to different levels is oddly fun and enjoyable.

Major billions from Cell to Android 13 all make an appearance in the game.

Dragonball Z Budokai HD Collection is a great game and a fantastic way to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the original trilogy. It is hard to believe that such a popular series, one that is celebrating its 10 year anniversary, did not come in a true collector’s edition. This is also another game that is lacking in online presence. With online multiplayer becoming standard in fighting games, it is surprising that that element was added to this HD remake. Still, Dragonball Z Budokai HD Collection is very fun, full of nostalgia, and a definite recommendation for fans of the series.

Score: 7 / 10
