Very little is lost in this effective, if non-extra laden, action game.

Darksiders II for the Wii U does include some DLC on the disc, including Argul's Tomb and a few other additives, though some content is clearly missing, like the Abyssal Forge.  Regardless, there's hours worth of content here, enough to keep Death busy well through the holidays.

While I can't quite call Darksiders II on the Wii U the definitive version of the releases out there (that fast-moving PC version is hard to beat), it's definitely recommended.  THQ did a bang-up job bringing him to Nintendo's console, and even though some frame rate problems get in the way, a captivating action spectacle remains.  It just makes us wonder if the tale will somehow continue for part three, with both War and Death along for the ride.  We'll find out eventually, I'm sure.

Score: 8 / 10
