Gameplay in Planets Under Attack is a blast. The goal of the game is to take over and defend planets in a chosen solar system. There are various modes within the main campaign like Domination and Captured that keep the gameplay fresh and exciting. You can play as two different races in Planets Under Attack, Human and Robot. Both races offer different gameplay styles and tactics, creating varying styles of gameplay. The pace of gameplay is slow and steady, which hinders the appeal. I would have preferred a faster style of gameplay instead of taking the wait and see approach. While the gameplay lacks warp speed, the 15 multiplayer levels still allow you to play online or with a friend. No one should face space alone!

Planets Under Attack is a rocket fueled good time. The visuals are impressive and a true delight in HD. The music changes as you travel to different solar systems, which gives each level a unique feel. There are tons of multiplayer options and with the varying objectives depending on the difficulty level chosen; there is tons of replayability in the game. Planets Under Attack is one of the more unique games in the Xbox Live Arcade and one that may go overlooked. It could really find a home on mobile platforms.
