Join Sony for a worthy cause and you might get to play a celebrity in one of your favorite games!
Sony is giving their fans a chance to play celebrities in the games they love and the proceeds go to charity. Gamers will also get the chance to play certain athletes for the same cause. Sony is going to continue to do this overtime, not just a one time deal. The celeb/public matches will take place online as well as in person when applicable.
PS4 owners will purchase and download digital themes and other items via an official PlayStation HEROES app, with each dollar spent providing you with a sweepstakes entry to win one of the celebrity gaming sessions. Ninety percent of the purchase price of those items will help aid some amazing charitable organizations including Make-A-Wish, The USO and The V Foundation for Cancer Research.
The PS4 app will be available to download in late February. The app will double as your entry as well as your portal for more news pertaining to new details for future events. The first PlayStation HEROES event will feature legendary snowboarder Shaun White playing Bungie’s Destiny in mid-March.
