Nintendo and Tecmo Koei team up for Legend of Zelda/Dynasty Warriors mash up.
Nintendo has always been about taking that next creative step in innovation and this next idea might be in the “out of left field” category. They, with help from Tecmo Koei, have put together the iconic Legend of Zelda series with Tecmo Koei’s Dynasty Warriors series to create Hyrule Warriors. Players will be able to use classic Zelda characters like Link to fight against large numbers of monsters to save Princess Zelda. This time Zelda has been captured by a new threat, the sorceress Cia.
Zelda fans will be able to use Impa for the first time to help save the Princess from danger. Impa has a giant sword at her disposal as well as devastating combo attacks. There will be more characters to fight the hordes of monsters with and each character will have their own weapons and animations. The game will also have classic locations to the Zelda franchise, like Hyrule Field. The game will play like the Dynasty Warriors series where you “reclaim” areas by fighting monsters/enemies that will be familiar to the Zelda series and then some that are new to the series. Hyrule Warriors is expected to be at E3 in June so more information should become available then so stay tuned!
