Developer Glen Egan, president of Sanzaru Games, talks multiplayer, mini-games and the longevity of Sly Cooper in this exclusive interview.

Sly Cooper returns
How easy is the Cross Play functionality?
It’s really easy. You’ll be able to point on the Vita by touching the touch screen and then that will show up on the television screen. Your friend can just yell, “It’s over here!” and help you out. Another thing that we’re using the augmented reality for is you can move through the environments and there are all of these beautiful tapestries and mosaics and wall paintings throughout time. You can collect these by taking a picture of them using the Vita augmented reality camera. Once you take a picture of it Sly has collected it and then he can cash that in for loot. It’s yet another layer of collectable.
What else is packed into this game?
The clue bottles are back. We have the slime masks. We have the costumes. We also have treasure challenges. Throughout the Hub environments there are these challenges where you have to grab a piece of treasure and make it back to your hideout without getting attacked, or within a certain amount of time. There’s a lot of fun stuff in this game.
