Housemarque, the developer behind the hit PlayStation 4 game Resogun, has some exciting new projects on the horizon.
When Sony’s next-gen PlayStation 4 console was release late last year, one of the very first games players got to experience was developer Housemarque’s old-school Defender-esque space shooter Resogun (mainly since it was included as a free PlayStation Plus download during the first month of the PS4’s release). Now Housemarque has revealed some exciting new info about both Resogun as well as their future projects.
When a fan asked Housemarque via Resogun’s official Facebook page whether the game would be getting a PlayStation Vita port, the developer responded by saying that, right now, they’re working on two other projects, neither of which is a Vita port of Resogun but both of which fans should still be very excited for. The first is an upcoming DLC release for Resogun and the other is an unannounced game which will also be coming to the PlayStation 4. Sadly Housemarque couldn’t disclose details on either project but they have at least confirmed their existence (plus the developer’s answer didn’t technically rule out the possibility of a Vita port for Resogun either).
The most likely form that DLC for Resogun could take would be new ships and levels but we’ll have to wait and see just what exactly Housemarque has in store for fans. The developer will likely unveil its new PS4 project sometime later in 2014, perhaps during E3 or another major conference. Either way, it looks like Resogun fans still have plenty more to look forward to in the near future.
