The Vastness of Space!
It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Omen on Steam.
When I was playing Omen, it felt like I was playing an RPG combined with a tower defender. I feel that way because you travel around different locations, destroying enemy ships and collecting the equipment you find along the way. You'll be able to equip new weapons/gear to your ship, so you can have better weapons. I'm not the biggest aim with the control stick type of person so I had a tough time aiming. That being said, you can't just shoot all the time. Your weapons have energy that is similar to a stamina bar. If you run out, you'll have to wait to fire again. You can also craft vitamins/tablets to regain health and stamina too.
Throughout the journey you team up with different allies and they'll give you quests to perform. You'll want to do them so you can get even better supplies. Be warned though if you die, you'll lose your equipment and be sent back to the hub area. You'll also have to defend the base and this is where the tower defense comes in. You'll be able to get new weapons to defend the base and defeat the various fleets of enemy ships.
I'd like to thank the devs for a review code. Make sure you check out the hands-on video below!
