Luigi becomes a Doctor and Mega Man X2 highlight the downloads this week.

Hope everyone had a happy and healthy new year but let’s get back to business, video games. If one of your new year’s resolutions is to play for games, Nintendo has you covered by way of the eShop. Some good old fashioned classic Nintendo games have been added to the eShop so let’s get right into it.

One of the up and coming RPG’s had the demo version added to the eShop lineup this week. Bravely Default has been on Nintendo fans minds for quite some time now and the demo version, which is different from the normal version, should be enough to tide fans over until the official release in February. You’ll be able to Streetpass with the demo as well as the full version. You’ll also have the ability to transfer items from the demo version into the full version.

Luigi saw how much fun Mario was having being a doctor that he wanted to try it out. Download Dr. Luigi to prescribe the right meds and kill those pesky viruses. You’ll have the option to play with the new “L” shaped pill and give the game a little different feel as well as easier game play at times. Combine that with the Game Boy Color version of Mario Tennis being available as well as the Mario fans are happy. Tennis plays like an RPG in terms of being able to train your skills and apply points to certain attributes, such as hitting harder or serving faster.

Next up is two classic SNES games available to download, Mega Man X2 and Super Punch Out. Mega Man X needs to stop the Maverick Hunters as well as rescue his friend, Zero. Fight the likes of Wheel Gator and Flame Stag and stop Sigma! As for Super Punch Out, help Little Mac defeat the crazy fighters of the World Video Boxing Association and have fun along the way. Take on some classic fighters, like Bald Bull, as well as some newcomers. These two games are Wii U eShop downloads. Finally, it seems like the eShop has a sale every week and this week, ATLUS games are on sale. Shin Megami Tensei IV, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor: Soul Hackers, Etrian Odyssey IV: Legend of the Titan, Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl, and Code of Princess are on sale until January 6th so act quickly.

Also available this week: Castlestorm( Wii U eShop), Bird Mania Christmas 3D( 3DS eShop), Cubit the Hardcore Platformer Robot( 3DS eShop), and EDGE( 3DS eShop). Enjoy the games everyone!
