Nintendo Network ID and Miiverse coming to the 3DS.
The Nintendo 3DS is getting a system update and in that system update, the system will enable Nintendo Network ID functionality and the ability to post to Miiverse. Miiverse being on the 3DS has been something fans have been asking about for a long time and finally have gotten what they wanted.
The update will let players register a Nintendo Network ID to the 3DS and if they own a Wii U, they can use the same Nintendo Network ID. Using the Wii U NNID will allow users to connect/combine their eshop points and wish lists. Miiverse allows players to connect all over the world to share game play situations/hints. There is an offline mode for owners that don’t have access to wi-fi and can set up three posts that will post when an internet connection is established. Screenshots can be posted just like the Wii U version. In this update, you’ll be able to transfer system content once every seven days compared to the old set number of 5, which will be a welcome change.
