Nintendo has decided to bring the Louvre Museum to you rather than the other way around.
Nintendo has been using 3DS systems as tour guides in the Louver Museum in Paris. The rented systems have tons of installed material to make the visit to the museum a memorable one. Now, Nintendo is bringing that software to all 3DS users. Starting December 2nd, 3DS owners will be able to download Nintendo 3DS Guide: Louvre for 20 bucks.
The software will have more than 600 images of art located in the museum, more than 400 3D images and 30 hours of audio commentary. Sounds like a great alternative to actually going to the museum. In addition to these features, the 3DS version not rented in the Louvre will have different features like a 3D slide show or being able to listen to the commentary while looking at art. As soon as updates are available for the software it will update like most 3DS software. This is an interesting idea and it would be neat to see if different museums will be available overtime. This will be appealing to everyone who has always wanted to see the Louvre and not located in France, like me.
