Master Chief in Forward Unto Dawn
How maneuverable was Master Chief’s armor for you?
It’s funny, the suit’s like any suit. When you first put it on, it’s quite tight and you’re not sure where the limitations are and how it’s going to move. But the guys at Legacy did such a great job with really designing every aspect of it that for me, I could do almost everything I could without the suit on, which is always an amazing thing. Suits usually become so cumbersome because it’s all about visuals and you forget sometimes there’s a guy that has to go jump off that ledge, go flip over there, and you’re like, “I can’t do any of that. “ I was just really, really pleased with the quality and the attention to detail of the way it looks, but at the same time how functional it is.
What are your thoughts on the Halo 4 game?
The game is awesome. I was sitting down with some of the guys who were designing it. This game got a lot faster because when I played Halo it felt like everything was a lot slower. It’s crazy. The technology just keeps getting more advanced and more advanced. And the quality of the gameplay and the speed that it is. Halo 4 is an amazing game. I got bit again by the bug. I’m playing it like, “Oh this is fun, but I was just nonstop dying.” I’m not a great videogamer. I’m not going to lie. I’m supposed to be the Master Chief and all this stuff and guys out in the world are going, “Well ,he better be a good gamer.” I’m not. If someone called me out I’m just going to get shown up. I’m working on it. But I need a lot of work.
But you got the real suit. Those guys online don’t, right?
Yeah. That’s what I’m saying. In real life, I’m great. I’ll jump off this thing. I’ll shoot that thing. I’ll jump back. I’ll get hit by that. When it comes to the game world, no bueno.
