Wii Mini joins Nintendo’s plan for the holiday season.

In keeping with tradition, Nintendo is re-releasing a successful product once again. It worked with the different Game Boy Advance systems as well as the different 3DS models. Nintendo is trying it again with the release of the Wii Mini in the United States. The whole idea of the Wii Mini is to give consumers a cost-effective alternative to the Wii U.

The Wii Mini is a smaller, less add-ons Wii sold for the low price of 100 bucks. To relieve any confusion, the Mini will play the entire Wii library and is a sharp Red and Black colored combo.( As A New Jersey Devils fan, this I like) The system comes with a Wii Remote Plus controller, Red Nunchuk controller, and Mario Kart Wii. The system sounds like a bargain in terms of price and what you actually are getting for your 100 bucks.

“Wii mini offers the same fun experience as Wii, which has been enjoyed by millions of people around the world,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “And it comes packaged with Mario Kart Wii, a multiplayer Mario racing game that is one of the best-selling Wii games. At such a great price, it is an extraordinary value for shoppers this holiday season.”

It appears that Nintendo is banking on the Wii Mini being a cheap alternate system for the likes of people that can’t afford a Wii U. The other option could be for people who want to play video games in a different room of the house. One major flaw is the lack of online functions but that is one of the ways Nintendo can keep the price of the Wii Mini down. If the system was able to connect to the internet, it wouldn’t be priced at 100 bucks.
