PC and MAC users of Mojang’s Minecraft will soon be able to broadcast their games to Twitch at the click of button.
Twitch used the sold out MINECON 2013 convention to alert fans of a partnership with Mojang to bring broadcasting functionality to Minecraft. The integration of Twitch into the PC and Mac versions of the top selling game enables gamers to easily broadcast directly to their Twitch channels. The Twitch functionality will be live soon.
Developed and published by Mojang, Minecraft launched on May 17, 2009. Since then, it has become the top selling PC sandbox adventure game with more than 13 million units in sales on PC with more than 33 million units in sales across all platforms. It has also been the recipient of several prestigious awards including five Game Developers Choice Awards at the 2011 Game Developers Conference. As a result, MINECON 2013, Mojang’s annual Minecraft convention, has sold out with more than 7,500 attendees eager to see what is next for one of the most creative games of all time and to meet the team responsible for it.
