Konami hires Julien Merceron who brings in a ton of experience with developing technologies in the video game industry.
Merceron, a passionate advocate of the games industry, currently serves as a jury member for video games and film at the Home of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, as an advisory board member for the Game Developers Conference, and as an adviser for the Computer Entertainment Developers Conference, Japan's largest conference held for game developers.
Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. President Tomoyuki Tsuboi commented, "Julien Merceron is lauded in the industry for his leadership in game design and development. Mr. Merceron will help us gain a technical edge in the highly competitive digital entertainment market through contributions to upcoming titles, making them more engaging and exciting for our customers."
After joining KONAMI, Merceron will be working on the next generation "FOX ENGINE", which will be utilized for the latest title of the Kojima Productions' award winning METAL GEAR series. In the future, it is anticipated he will also be involved in the development of other KONAMI titles including soccer and baseball games.
