Gamers will have to fork over $200 for the Pokemon X and Y 3DS XL and then extra money for the actual games.
The Pokémon X and Pokémon Y Nintendo 3DXL hardware is now on store shelves. But in a departure from most licensed bundles, this $200 system won’t come with the actual games, just the logos and paintings on the portable device. The games launch on October 12 and will be sold separately to fans who pick up the new portable.
The unique systems each feature the likenesses of Legendary Pokémon Xerneas from Pokémon X and Legendary Pokémon Yveltal from Pokémon Y. The systems are available in either red or blue. Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are the next installments in the world-famous Pokémon series. The upcoming games offer a new generation of Pokémon, new Mega Evolutions and a host of new features.
