Nintendo will soon be giving the fans the best of both worlds: a free game and getting in shape!
Beginning November 1st, Nintendo will be giving Wii U owners the chance to get their hands on a free downloadable version of Wii Fit U. The full version of the game will be available for just a month but it should give players a good feeling if they want to grab the game when it releases in December. All you need to enjoy the full game demo is a Wii Balance Board and an internet connection. You’ll be able to keep the demo version by syncing the Fit Meter to the game.
The Fit Meter will be an add-on to the software that will act like a pedometer. It will measure the amount of steps as well as the type of step. It will measure if the user walked up stairs for example. The software will be available for download starting Nov. 1st and will go to January 1st next year.
“Wii Fit U is all about ‘fun fitness’ for everyone in the family,” said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America’s president and COO. “With this special offer, Nintendo is making it easier than ever for families to get active and stay active, making now the perfect time to upgrade to Wii U. This is another example of the kind of value and variety that only Nintendo can offer.”
Wii Fit U combines what made Wii Fit such a hit and adds to the winning formula. For example Wii Fit U has several activities that build your overall health as well as different dance routines that work on different body parts. You’ll be able to join a Miiverse Gym Community as well as create custom work out routines. If you pass on the trial version, the game launches on Dec. 13(physical) and eShop download on Feb. 1st of next year.
