Boulevard 3 in Los Angeles was thumping with music from DJ Nick Cannon on the 1's & 2's and a full red carpet of Hollywood celebrities that came out in support of Hurricane Sandy victims and Kids In Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.).
The event raised $50,000 for victims of Hurricane Sandy with money going to Oceanside Community Service, the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and Kids In Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.). Organized by actor Brett Claywell and producer Michael Wasserman, Stiks Gaming has spent the last year bringing Hollywood celebrities and athletes with charities through video games.
Some of the celebrities that played the classic arcade games set up at the event were LaMorne Morris (New Girl), Riley Smith (90210), Edwin Hodge (Red Dawn), Melissa Claire Egan (All My Children), Kim Caldwell (American Idol), Terrell Owens Kenyon Martin and comedian Al Shearer.
Within the upcomming year, Stiks Gaming will launch an online gaming site that will allow fans to play games against TV, movie, and sports celebs with donations going to charity.
