PC gamers who want in on the Project Spark PC beta are going to want to check out the newly released list of system requirements since they're pretty demanding.
Developer Team Dakota has confirmed that the PC beta for their upcoming creation-based game Project Spark will be starting as early as late October. However, if you were hoping to participate in said beta, you better make sure your rig can meet the game’s lofty PC system spec requirements.
First off, if you have any operating system other than Windows 8 you’re going to have to upgrade. Project Spark will support both 32-bit and 64-bit systems but anything less than Windows 8 won’t cut it. Your rig’s CPU will have to be equivalent in power to the Intel Core i5 but Team Dakota says that the most powerful CPU processor, the Core i7, is recommended.
The list of recommended graphics cards includes the Intel HD4000 (at a minimum), AMD HD8850, and Nvidia GT660 (recommended). Fortunatly the memory requirements aren’t too bad; 4GB of RAM and 2GB of hard drive space will serve just fine. Lastly, Team Dakota confirmed that those who want to play on tablets will need a device that’s fully Windows 8-integrated such as Microsoft’s Surface Pro.
For those without high-end gaming rigs, an Xbox One beta is planned for January, 2014 but Xbox 360 players are going to have to wait and see what Xbox One and PC players think of Project Spark since no Xbox 360 beta is planned at this time.
