Left 4 Dead fans may be in for some really good news in the near future if a recent change log leak at Valve is to be believed.

A few leaked screenshots of an internal change log over at Steam developer Valve may have just confirmed the existence of Left 4 Dead 3.

As can be seen in the screenshot, the change log is pretty dense but a few eagle-eyed readers spotted two names that have naturally stirred up a lot of hype. One line in the change log refers to “L4D3” running on ‘Source2” (also potentially confirming the existence of a Source 2). Given the massive fan following behind both Left 4 Dead and its sequel Left 4 Dead 2, the existence of a Left 4 Dead 3 isn’t too terribly surprising but is still pretty exciting.

As with all leaks and rumors, it should be noted that until Valve confirms the legitimacy of this leak, fans should take everything they hear about both Left 4 Dead 3 and Source 2 with a grain of salt. However, if the change log does indeed end up being legit, it will be some pretty hard evidence for Valve to try and cover up.
