A slow week on Virtual Console for Nintendo is headlined by the original Kid Icarus on Wii U.
It looks like it’s going to be a slow week for Nintendo’s eShop and Virtual Console service but what might look slow has a diamond in the rough. For those who didn’t get the 3D version of the game for the 3DS won’t want to pass on it again. The game I’m talking about is Kid Icarus. The 3D Classic version was available when you pre-ordered Kid Icarus Uprising so I could see why people might have missed it the first time. However this time the game is available on the Wii U Virtual Console so if you haven’t had a chance to play it, now is the time.
Long story short, for those who don’t know Medusa is causing trouble and has kidnapped the goddess of Light, Palutena. You play as Pitt, an angel, who has been trusted with the task of saving Palutena and defeating Medusa. Sounds easy right? Wrong! You will have to defeat all types of monsters in your quest for victory. The game is 5 bucks so any platformer fan should give this one a go.
Also available this week is Chain Buster for the 3DS in full game version and demo version. You assume the role of anti-virus ship that needs to cure the super computer of the future. The enemies just keep coming and it will take every ounce of courage and skill to take out swarm after swarm of virus ships. You’ll also be able to upload your high score to the internet to compete with friends and other players around the world. The game will cost 7 bucks and looks like a fun time. Also available this week: Angler’s Club: Ultimate Bass Fishing, (3DS eShop) Picross e2, (3DS eShop) and Cute Witch! Runner (3DS eShop/Dsiware) Enjoy the games everyone.
